The Great Books Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, December 6, in Room 16 of the preschool and discuss Jean-Paul Sartre’s (1905-1980) Why Write? Sartre, best known as the leading exponent of existentialism, also addressed questions relating to literary interpretation. Our selection will introduce themes of the writer’s audience as well as prose versus poetry. Subsequent meetings will be held monthly with selections from the Great Books Foundation series.
