Desperate hunger and starvation is sweeping Ethiopia as the result of mass migration into the south of the country that is being fueled by wide-spread drought and political strife and creating an unprecedented humanitarian cristis in the Horn of Africa. Over 6.8 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. The Holy Spirit community ardently supports the Ethiopian hunger crisis appeal and invites you to help:

• Donations collected will directly benefit the village of Gubre, Ethiopia, Fr. Atraga’s hometown. The collected funds will be disbursed for (1) food during this starvation period (2) purchasing PPE's to prevent and minimize the transmission of COVID and providing treatment for those that have contacted COVID (3) provide a temporary shelter with food and water for those migrating to Gubre for relief and refuge.
