First Communion / First Reconciliation

A child’s First Communion is an important and special milestone in the life of a Catholic family. Catholics all over the world are called to participate in the holy sacrifice of the Mass and to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

It is a two-year process to prepare a child to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Children typically begin in 1st grade, and continue through 2nd Grade, so they can receive the Sacraments in the spring of their 2nd Grade year.

First Reconciliation is held on a Saturday in January. First Communion is held in May on Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend.

In 2024, First Reconciliation will be on January 27th at 10:00 AM. First Communion is on May 11th at 11:00 AM.

RCIC is available for children who are in 3rd Grade - 9th Grade and have not yet received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation or First Communion. For additional information, please visit our RCIC page.
