DetailsJesus knew how to find quiet time. He often traveled to remote locations to spend time praying to God the Father, sometimes with His disciples, sometimes alone. We could probably learn a thing or two from His example!
“... he took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray.” (Luke 6:12, NAB)
“... he went up on the mountain by himself to pray.” (Matthew 14:23, NAB)
Join us on Saturday, June 29th, for a unique day of spirituality, starting with Mass, adoration, and confession at Holy Spirit, then a hike with a brief scripture reflection on top of Preacher’s Rock along a beautiful stretch of the Appalachian Trail near Dahlonega, Georgia. Be sure to bring a reusable water bottle, because it's going to be HOT!
Schedule:
8:30 a.m. - Mass in St. Mary’s Chapel
9:00 a.m. - Adoration and Confession
10:00 a.m. - Depart for Woody Gap Trailhead (near Dahlonega)
4:00 p.m. - Return to Holy Spirit
