Dear Parishioners:
I would like to share with you two priest assignment announcements that were recently made by the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Reverend Mr. Sean Michael Lee, upon his ordination to the priesthood, has been appointed parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. We look forward with great joy to welcoming soon-to-be Father Lee to our parish community this summer. His assignment at Holy Spirit begins on July 1, 2026. Please keep him in your prayers as he prepares for ordination and begins his priestly ministry. Here is more information about Deacon Lee's ordination, and here is more information about him.
At the same time, Father Joseph Nguyen, who has served our parish faithfully as parochial vicar, has been appointed parochial vicar of Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Church in Norcross. While we are excited for Father Joseph and this next chapter in his priestly ministry, we will certainly miss his enthusiasm, boundless energy, and generous spirit. Father Joseph has shared his gifts in so many areas of parish life — from his enthusiasm for our pro-life ministry, to visits with the homebound and hospitalized, to his joyful involvement with our youth group, and so much more. I am grateful for all he has contributed to our parish community.
We will have time in the coming weeks to celebrate Father Joseph and express our gratitude before he begins his new assignment.
Please join me in praying both for Father Joseph and for Deacon Sean Lee during this time of transition and new beginnings in ministry.
In Christ,
Fr. Ballman
