Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) Class Forming

Would you or someone you know like to learn more about the Catholic faith and what Catholics profess to believe. Perhaps your spouse or fiancé would like to become Catholic? Maybe you were raised Catholic, but never received the sacrament of Confirmation? Or maybe you’ve drifted away from the Church and want to renew your connection to Catholicism by entering into full communion with the Church.

R.C.I.A. aims to address all the above situations. The class can be taken for information only, and there is never any pressure to be confirmed, although participants are fully prepared for Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, and/or Confirmation if desired. We are now enrolling for the next session of R.C.I.A., which begins on August 4 and concludes on December 8.  The class will meet on Sunday evenings from 6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Thanksgiving Weekends excluded. Due to our accelerated curriculum, regular attendance is crucial, so participants need to commit to full participation in the course. Reception into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church occurs at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Sunday, November 24.

A nominal fee of $35 is required to register for the course; this fee defrays the cost of books and other materials. Prospective R.C.I.A. participants are strongly encouraged to begin gathering sacramental documents, including—if applicable—certificates of baptism and marriage. Personal interviews with participants are now being held; please contact Dr. David King to arrange an appointment. Please also note that the DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS JULY 21st.

We look forward to seeing you in R.C.I.A. as you deepen your inquiry and journey into the Catholic faith.  For more information, or to enroll, please contact our Director of RCIA, Dr. David King.
