DetailsPlease join us for a retirement celebration in honor of Msgr. Dillon on Saturday, May 20th. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in McDonough Hall. Kindly RSVP by the 15th of May.
Many of you have asked what you can do to express your gratitude to Msgr. Dillon. His apartment at St. George’s Village is relatively small but still needs furnishing. He will need to buy furniture – in effect, furnishing the apartment from scratch. Rather than giving him physical gifts, it will be much more practical to give him money. However, please understand that there is no expectation that you should do so.
If you do wish to give a gift, there are two possibilities:
- Make a check payable to Holy Spirit with an indication on the check that it is for Msgr. Dillon’s retirement. You may also use this link to make a payment via credit card.
- Make a check payable to Msgr. Dillon (or place cash in an envelope) and either send it to him at the parish office (address below) OR bring it to the retirement celebration. We will have a basket for cards.
Please note that due to IRS regulations, money given either to the parish or to Msgr. Dillon directly for his retirement is NOT tax deductible.
