Holy Spirit Catholic Church & Emory / St. Joseph Hospital invite our senior adults to a special Mass with the Anointing of the Sick on Thursday, November 7, at 11:00 AM in the Church followed by a luncheon and fellowship in McDonough Hall. Join us for Mass and lunch, or just lunch, to help us kick off our new “Holy Spirited Seniors” group. We want your input on future social and spiritual events, such as regular luncheons, Bible studies, speakers, and more. RSVP by Friday, November 1, by calling the parish office 404-252-4513, by using My Parish App, or online

Those on Whom the Anointing of the Sick is to be Conferred:
The anointing of the sick can be administered to a member of the faithful who, having reached the use of reason, begins to be in danger due to sickness or old age. This sacrament can be repeated if the sick person, having recovered, again becomes gravely ill or if the condition becomes more grave during the same illness. Typically, the sacrament can be repeated annually for those in old age.
